Atletico Madrid & Malaga among 23 clubs punished by Uefa for breaching Financial Fair Play

Uefa's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) has released an official statement announcing that 23 clubs have had their prize money withheld pending further investigation.

The clubs, all of whom are involved in European competition in 2012-13, had to provide information regarding the status of any overdue payables as at June 30, 2012. While these are part of the first measure of the new Financial Fair Play structure, there is no suggestion that particular rules regarding overspending have been breached.
Having identified that important overdue payables towards other clubs, and/or towards employees or social/tax authorities existed in 23 cases, the CFCB has punished each club involved, including Atletico Madrid, Malaga, Sporting CP and Fenerbahce.

The investigatory chamber will continue its investigations and request the clubs involved to provide an updated situation as of September 30, 2012. This conservatory measure will remain into force until all identified balances have been settled in full, or until a final decision has been taken.

Mwenyekiti wa chama cha Chadema Freeman Mbowe, amesema kuwa Chadema haina imani na kamati iliyoundwa na waziri Nchimbi kwa madai kwamba imekosa mamlaka ya kisheria.
Hivyo amemtaka rais Jakaya Kikwete aunde tume ya kimahakama itakayochunguza kifo cha mwandishi huyo na kwamba, iwapo hayo hayatatekelezwa, chama hicho kitafanya maandamano makubwa.
Kwa upande mwengine, waandishi wa habari nchini wamedhamiria kufanya maandamano ya kimya kimya nchi nzima hapo kesho kulaani kuuawa kwa mwandishi mwenzao. Maandamano hayo yanatarajiwa kufanyika katika mikoa yote kuanzia saa mbili asubuhi. Kwa upande wa Mkoa wa Dar es Salaam, yamepangwa kuanza katika kituo cha runinga cha Chanel Ten na kumalizikia katika viwanja wa mnazi mmoja.

OBAMA GOT A HUGE LIFT

Mr. Obama got a huge lift — literally — from the registered Republican during an unscheduled stop at Mr. Van Duzer’s Big Apple and Pasta Restaurant here on Sunday. “Look at that!” Mr. Obama exclaimed after the ebullient pizza shop owner lifted him a good couple of feet off the ground after he walked into the restaurant. “Man, are you a powerlifter or what?”
The president is on a bus tour of Florida, stopping at various nooks and crannies along the way. Mr. Van Duzer, who says he voted for Mr. Obama in 2008 despite his G.O.P. affiliation and plans to do so again, was on the driving range — wearing great workout shorts and a gray T-shirt—when he got word that the president was coming to his pizza shop to visit. He hustled back to the shop lickety split.
Mr. Obama said he decided to stop at the pizza place because of the work Mr. Van Duzer does donating blood, and urging others to do the same.
“One of the reasons that we wanted to stop by is that Scott has been doing unbelievable work out of this pizza shop in promoting the importance of donating blood,” Mr. Obama said. “And so he has set some records here in Florida. He has received commendations from the White House, the surgeon general, he has galvanized and mobilized the local community and he’s educating kids and folks all across the country on this issue.”
And now, we can say, he has also lifted the president.
The president’s Secret Service agents looked a bit perturbed, but Mr. Van Duzer said that he got permission first. Speaking to reporters after, he said an agent “said I was alright as long as I didn’t take him away.”

Sasa wizara ya ulinzi ya Afghan imeamua kutoa mafunzo maalum kwa wanajeshi wake kwamba kubalini kupapaswa makalio na wamarekani hizo kwao ni ishara za pongezi au salamu.
Mafunzo haya maalum yanenza baada ya visa vya wanajeshi wa Afghan kuwauwa wanajeshi wa marekani katika siku za hivi karibuni.
Msemaji wa Wizari ya Ulinzi wa Afghanistan Zahir Azimi amesema wanajeshi wote karibu laki mbili watapewa mafunzo ya kuwaelewa Wamarekani na kukubali salamu zao.
Mwaka huu peke yake wanajeshi wa Afghan wamewapiga risasi na kuwauwa walimu wao wa kimarekani 45. Kwa kumbe sababu ni hizo za kupigwa pigwa makalio eti ni pongezi.
Kwa Mafghanistan hakuna pongezi za hivyo.

Manchester City are capable of beating Real Madrid, claims De Gea

Premier League champions Manchester City have the capabilities to beat Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Champions League - and that's according to Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea!

Quite an admission from the Old Trafford stopper, but do you agree with him?Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has warned Real Madrid that they are in a for a tough time when they face English champions Manchester City in the Champions League group stages.
The former Atletico Madrid man is better placed than most to give a verdict on the respective qualities of the English and Spanish champions, and he believes that Jose Mourinho's men will have to be on top of their game to match United's Manchester rivals.

"City are a great team," he told Marca. "They are full of great players in all positions. The substitutes are also top-class.

"It will be really difficult for Real Madrid, both in the Bernabeu and in Manchester. You don't get anything for free in the Champions League."

The Spain international also claimed that the two teams share a similar tactical philosophy, and expects this to make for some tight encounters.

"City has a similar style to Real. It is quick to get the ball forward and looks to directly attack," he continued.

"The strike-force is deadly, as the club has an incredible group of strikers. But if you want to win the Champions League you've got to beat the best teams, and City are one of them."

However, De Gea claims that it is City's individuals, rather than their tactical set-up, that makes them such a daunting opponent, and insists that they have the means to challenge any team in this season's competition.

"It's not about whether the team's style of play will suit Real," he added.

"The team is full of great players, who are very talented and can cause you damage at any moment. They are capable of beating anyone, whether that's Real Madrid or Barcelona."

The shot-stopper highlighted Spain's David Silva as the man who makes City tick, but believes that Real should be very wary of his fellow Atletico old boy, Sergio Aguero.

"David is a vital player for them. City is a different team without him; it doesn't play the same way," he continued.

"But it's not just about Silva. Kun is always up for it and he'll be extra motivated against Real. He's a great player and scores a lot of goals. It's a joy to watch him play."
